Well, I'm quite relieved epoch is as done as it's getting. Spent quite a bit of time on it, and quite pleased with the results. I just wish I didn't run into Photoshop's layer limit. As for another project, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Guess it's time to open 3D Studio and mess around till I make something I like.

I plan on doing a webpage with a more of a "darker" feel to it, which is mostly inspired by attitude towards things and the music I like. No, I'm not a dark person, I just like dark things :) (Smile)

I have no release date for anything, for I am one of those people that lives by the phrase "It's done when it's finished." Currently, I am working on no projects, I'm burnt out from epoch and just taking a breather.

If anyone wishes to do a project with me, or would like to set something up, feel free to contact me. I'm usually around, and easiest to contact via AIM.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm just responding to your rant: Yes its true that artists like you work extremely hard to achieve the level of quality that is obvious in your work. Just because someone dismisses your work as trendy doesn't mean they don't appreciate the effort put into it. As for art, I think its definition is different in everyones minds. It could mean pure creative expression (that's where you get those people who think your work is trendy) and you have graphically and eye-pleasing enthusiasts. Either way, their interpretation of art is reflected in their comments. Even if your work may appear trendy to many people, it does NOT make it unoriginal...but I think you would agree that it loses some of its originality when it looks similar to something that's already been done.

Your shit is good. And with the whole trendiness deal, someone is always going to be able to tell you that your work resembles someone elses, or you drew inspiration from someone else. Honestly who gives a shit, there is billions of people out there, you are bound to be related to someone else. If they say its trendy fuck em, its what you like to make.
